Children in Gaza are growing up seeing life as an inescapable war. Those aged eight and over have already witnessed three huge military escalations. Following the latest assault on the strip, it is estimated that 400,000 children now need direct psychological intervention. Due to witnessing violence, the killing of loved ones or the destruction of homes, these children suffer mood disorders, anxiety, irritability and have problems with attachment.

Disabled people in Pakistan have traditionally received little support. A marginalised group, they are often unseen and unheard.
Following the Pakistan floods in 2010, Ummah Welfare Trust realised the seriousness of their situation. A rehabilitation centre was therefore established for these poor victims.
